You don't have to grieve alone
Bereavement Support
The loss of someone you love can change every part of your life. Grief may bring sadness, loneliness, anger, confusion, relief, or emotions that are difficult to put into words. There is no single “right” way to grieve—and no set timeline for healing.
At Serenity Hospice of Pennsylvania, our bereavement support services provide a caring place to turn as you adjust to life after loss. Whether your loved one received hospice care from Serenity or you are seeking support within the community, our compassionate team is here to listen, guide, and walk alongside you
Compassionate Support Through Every Stage of Grief
Grief is a deeply personal experience. Some people find comfort in talking, while others need time, reflection, spiritual connection, or practical guidance.
Our bereavement team meets each person where they are. We provide a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where individuals and families can express their feelings, honor their loved one, and begin finding a path forward.
You do not need to have all the answers. You simply need a place to begin.
Individual Grief Support
Private conversations with a compassionate bereavement professional can help you process your loss, understand common grief responses, and develop healthy ways to cope.
Phone and Ongoing Check-Ins
Grief can feel especially difficult during the weeks and months following a loss. Our team may provide supportive calls and continued outreach to help families feel connected and cared for.
Family Support
Every family member may experience loss differently. We help families communicate, support one another, and navigate the emotional and practical changes that can follow the death of a loved one.
Grief Support Groups
Connecting with others who have experienced a similar loss can provide comfort, understanding, and reassurance. Our support groups offer a welcoming space to share, listen, and feel less alone.
Educational Grief Resources
We offer helpful information about the grieving process, coping with difficult emotions, supporting children and family members, handling special occasions, and adjusting to everyday life after loss.
Memorial and Remembrance
Remembering a loved one can be an important part of healing. Serenity may offer memorial programs, remembrance activities, or other meaningful opportunities for families to honor those they have lost.
Spiritual and Emotional Support
For those who find comfort in faith or spiritual reflection, support may be available in a way that respects each person’s individual beliefs, traditions, and preferences.
